Social Action
Clay County (FL) Alumnae Chapter (CCFAC) was chartered on April 26, 2024 and the
political awareness and involvement committee swiftly met the challenges of the
2024 election year. The dynamic social action conscious Sorors made immediate
inroads into the Clay County community. They engaged in a variety of initiatives
including voter registration campaigns at Orange Park High School football game
and secured a vendor spot at the annual Soul Food Festival in Green Cove Springs.
Sorors placed voter registration posters containing an active voter registration QR
code throughout Clay County beauty and barber shop businesses. Chapter
members volunteered as poll monitors on election day and as many as six
members served as election workers throughout assigned precincts in Clay
County for the 2024 election cycle. With the expert help of the tech team, Sorors
produced a 90 second voter education TikTok video that was released on multiple
social media platforms. The first virtual Town Hall was conducted with the Clay
County board of education candidates incorporating lively discussion around
plans for the future education of students. As a new chapter, CCFAC has become
a recognizable and impactful force in the community and the Sorors are
passionate about community service.
