School Board Meetings

Sorors Vathrice Hartwell and Chanda Nicole Holsey attended the regularly scheduled Clay County School Board meeting Thursday, March 6th, at Fleming Island High School.  Soror Holsey, a parent of two Clay County students, asked about the consistent issues with bus driver shortages and late pickups.  In his comments section, David Broskie, Superintendent of Clay County Schools, acknowledged Soror Holsey's concerns.  And after the meeting, Bryce Ellis, Assistant Superintendent for Operations approached Soror Holsey and asked for her contact information.  She shared that there is a bus driver shortage statewide, but that she was over transportation operations for Clay, and would research Soror Holsey's daughter's routes and keep her updated about ongoing plans for progress.  Sorors Hartwell and Holsey were both pleased with this engagement!
