Community Fun Day 2025

The First Coast National PanHellenic Council (FCNPHC), of which CCFAC is a chapter member, held Community Fun Day on Sunday, June 1st at A. Philip Randolph Heritage Park in Jacksonville.  Chanda Nicole Holsey, CCFAC NPHC Chair served as FCNPHC Community Fun Day PR/Marketing Subcommittee Chair. CCFAC NPHC Committee members Sandy Brooks, Danette Oglesby, Steffanie Jones-Ramsey also volunteered for Community Fun Day committees and attended the event.

Over 120 community members and kids were in attendance. Each Divine Nine organization that services Duval and/or Clay Counties was represented on site and actively participated in Community Fun Day Planning. We provided education to attendees regarding eligible community services and resources, and ways to access them.  We partnered with several community organizations that set up tables and tents to share this information.  Some of the participating groups were ECS for Kids, Pace Center for Girls of Jacksonville, United Wealth Education, JEA, Jiles Jewels, Department of Health Duval, Chi Eta Phi (Nurses Sorority), and LISC Jacksonville. The information shared ranged from financial education, credit health, and home ownership to ways to register for Early Head Start and Head Start, and children educational services.  One of our partners, Empowering Change, addressed the issue of food insecurity by providing community members and families with ample groceries on site. CCFAC NPHC Committee and chapter members were thrilled to be able to share this comprehensive experience with the community. It was a time for the Council to give back to the community and let them know they are valued.
